Great so far but how do you add pictures?
just downloaded the app and was wondering if there was a way to add pictures or even submit pictures from address's? Great job so far

To upload pictures you can use websites like 500px.com or Flickr.com
Also, Google Maps supports adding pictures from addresses.
ViewPointer's main goal is to help photographers and other people to find interesting places around them with intent to take better photographs.
More sources
Please add some sources with monuments and famous place you can use some app as (geo caching, ingress, pokemon go...) that could add so many awesome land to see and visit
Add a feature to download the images...and some tags to search with
maybe you should add a way to download the images. Many pictures I saw were pretty great
And you should add some tags so people can find image types easily
(E.g #beach for images of beaches) and there can be many more

Free images downloading is not possible to do. As you said it yourself – picture are pretty great, so authors don't just give them for free. Would you be interested in buying a picture?

Filtering out hashtags
searching by hashtags is good but you also need the opposite - muted hashtags - eg #selfie, #me etc etc!

At the moment list of tags, that are used in Flickr search, is pre-defined in the app, and, of course, it doesn't include #selfie and #me =)
I will keep your suggestion to filter things out in mind when I will be working on tags-based search in filters.

Use search hashtags
Flickr allows users to add hashtags to photos. It would be great to use those hashtags as part of the filtering system, eg "photos near me that include the hashtag #waterfall".

Can you include geotagged Instagram pictures?
Instagram would be great, partly because there are many pictures on Instagram, and also because Instagram is getting rid of it's own photo map function!

I will take a look at what I can do with Instagram, but most likely this will not be possible – some time ago Instagram have closed API access to their search functions.
But I will double-check, maybe I can do something.
